Corporate Services functions across the department:

  • Recruit, pay and manage people

About the program

Kickstart your career with our new and exciting 24 month graduate program starting in 2025! From day one you do real, meaningful work that makes a difference.

In this program you rotate through different central services and school sites, gaining hands on experience in areas such as:

  • finance and finance systems
  • procurement
  • buildings and assets
  • information and communication technologies
  • human resources
  • school and student administration
  • promotions and public relations.

Our program is more than just a job – it’s a chance to develop skills, grow your network and get expert guidance. With mentoring, peer networks and professional development opportunities, you build confidence and leadership skills.

By the end of the program, you have the experience and knowledge to step into professional, specialised or business leadership careers in education or the public service.

What we’re looking for in candidates

  • University, TAFE or other vocational training graduates with a minimum of a Cert IV (AQF Level 4) qualification who have completed their studies within the past 2 years
  • Available to start work this year
  • Demonstrate adaptability, agility and resilience
  • Solutions focused and action orientated and dedicated to achieving results
  • Great communicators who are curious and work collaboratively
  • Innovative thinkers with broad perspectives
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and be awarded a screening clearance number from the department.
  • obtain a Working with Children Check.
