Engaging an energy auditor

An accredited energy auditor can find savings and help you take action to manage your energy use and costs.

Accredited energy audits can take a variety of forms and be tailored to your small business needs under the Australian/New Zealand Standard.

A basic energy audit (also known as a Type 1 energy audit) can be a quick, cost-effective way to identify
savings and get set up to track energy use for small businesses with limited budgets and small sites.

For small businesses needing a more detailed investigation and analysis to support, for example,
business cases for investment decisions, Type 2 and 3 energy audits can be appropriate.
