The Department for Child Protection and Family Support (the Department) is committed to improve outcomes for Aboriginal children, families and communities that come into contact with the child protection system. The Aboriginal Service and Practice Framework 2016-2018 (the Framework) has been designed to support and sustain this commitment. The Framework identifies the vision, foundation elements, guiding principles and priority areas that will shape this commitment over the next three years. The Framework commits the Department to the development of an implementation plan that will assist in delivering on the priority areas.
