
Nominations have opened for the 2025 WasteSorted Awards, with Western Australians encouraged to nominate those in their community working towards a low-waste future through improved waste practices.
The WasteSorted Awards recognise individuals, businesses, local governments, community groups and schools in the following categories:
- Community Waste Award
- Schools Award
- Business Award
- Waste Champion Award
- Waste Team Award
- Local Government Award
- Regional Award
- Community Events and Engagement Award
- Innovation Award
- Closing the Loop Award.
Minister for the Environment Matthew Swinbourn said: “The WasteSorted Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise individuals and organisations in our community who are embracing the 'do better than the bin' message by reducing, reusing and recycling waste and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.”
