Specialist detectives from the Arson Squad are investigating two incidents that occurred over the weekend of 12 and 13 April 2025, outside a business located on Chesterfield Road in Mirrabooka.

About 9pm on Saturday 12 April an unknown offender smashed the window of a Kia Cerato sedan that was parked outside the premises before setting the vehicle on fire.

Department for Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) attended and extinguished the fire. The Kia Cerato sedan sustained fire and smoke damage.

About 7:20pm on Sunday 13 April, police driving along Chesterfield Road noticed a Kia Carnival station wagon and the same Kia Cerato sedan from the previous incident, both on fire.

DFES attended and extinguished both car fires.

Arson Squad investigators have conducted a fire scene examination, and the cause of the fires is being treated as deliberate.
