
Dr Byrne came to the Commission in 2016. He said he was very pleased to be continuing to serve as Commissioner for such a valuable organisation.
"The work we do at the Commission is so very important, especially in times of uncertainty such as these," he said.
Dr Byrne said his aim for the next four years was to focus on achievement of substantive equality in the outcome of publicly funded services and increased diversity in employment, especially at senior levels..
"I would like to work with heads of organisations in WA to find meaningful strategies to tackle bias so we can see executive suites filled with people of different races, abilities and genders that reflect the diversity of the people they aim to serve," he said.
