
Detectives from Mandurah Rapid High Harm Offender Response have charged two people as a result of their investigation into a series of linked incidents across the southern suburbs of Perth, which occurred between 11 March and 21 March 2025.
About 1am Tuesday 11 March 2025, a silver Ford Mustang was stolen from a car dealership located on Leach Highway in Myaree.
A few days later; on 19 March 2025, the same silver Ford Mustang was used in a home burglary on Sida Street in Wandi, where unknown offenders have forced entry to a residence and stolen property items.
On 21 March 2025, police sighted the stolen vehicle travelling at speed on Gilmour Avenue in Kwinana. Officers activated emergency lights and sirens, but the driver failed to stop the vehicle and an evade ensued.
Shortly after, the silver Ford Mustang was located abandoned on Nottingham Parkway in Orelia.
Detectives have charged a 36-year-old Waikiki man with 11 offences. Charges include – Aggravated Home Burglary; Steal Motor Vehicle; Stealing; Failing to Stop for Police; Reckless Driving to Escape Pursuit by Police; No Authority to Drive; Affix False Plate to Vehicle; Possess Prohibited Drug; and Possess Drug Paraphernalia.
He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 16 May 2025.
A 32-year-old woman from Orelia was charged with Steal Motor Vehicle. She is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 2 May 2025.
